Badminton is a racket game played by both men and women of skill level or age. The game is usually played over a net using a racket and a shuttlecock. The game has its originality traced back to India, where it was initially referred to as Poona. Due to the game's fascination, British army officers introduced the game in England, gaining so much fame and superiority over other games. The game was named badminton due to the country’s estate of the Duke of Beaufort in Gloucestershire, where it was first played. Against this backdrop, an analysis of the Badminton game will enhance understanding of the game’s origin, use, and techniques.

The Badminton game has a rich history due to its origination in India and Asia. Initially, the game was played with woolen balls. However, this was later changed when the shuttlecock was introduced and adopted by the players of Poona ("USA Badminton"). The Badminton game saw a change in mechanics due to its switching to a competitive game after several adoptions by other states. Therefore, a net was introduced to the game to increase its competitiveness. Despite badminton having its roots in Europe, its strongest players came from Asia and Asian countries. Players are expected to have at least twenty-one points and should be leading by at least two points to win a game in badminton. In cases where any player does not reach a two-point lead, the win is usually given to the first player to reach thirty points. Thus, with this rich history and a definite future, it is interesting to see how the badminton game will progress in the future.

Moreover, the game will strengthen the heart muscles and increase the levels of High-Density Lipoproteins in the human body. Badminton players do not quickly get tired due to the lighter shuttlecock and racquet compared to the ones used in Tennis. The game requires understanding how to control the speed and use different techniques to defend yourself against opponents ("Badminton Techniques | PDF | Racquet Sports | Athletic Sports"). Techniques like smash, drive, lobbying, and drop control both speed and skills. Smash is usually considered the most potent shot since it gives a player the correct position to strike. A drive shot is similar to a flat shot and is played by either a backhand or a forehand. Lobbying is the most uncomplicated technique. The player needs to hit the shuttlecock in the middle of the racket to make a perfect hit. The shuttlecock can be hit at any part of the racket since passing it over the net is critical. Therefore, to win any match in badminton, the players need to apply these techniques to compete fairly against their opponents.
